Born and raised in New York, Tara Aubrey started out by styling co-workers. Very quickly, her styling work extended to various magazines and runways. Today, as Owner and CEO of Off Beat Chic, LLC in Mile High, Aubrey has turned her passion into a successful styling business focused on unveiling the beauty within the woman to go along with that dazzling outfit.

“Off Beat Chic is a full-service styling business that caters to your personal look. If you want a totally new look or just a dress for a special occasion, Off Beat Chic is for you,” Aubrey says. “Every client is special and they are treated as such. Our services range from closet cleaning to total makeovers. We also sell vintage clothes and gently used designer clothing from runway and magazine shoots.”

Aubrey’s online store offers sizes ranging from extra small to 4XL and shoes size 4 to 12. Typically, the store adds new merchandise monthly, however, she often tests new arrivals on social media before they’re added to the boutique. There are also other services available including: image consulting, closet cleaning, virtual fittings and personal shopping by the hour.

What’s in This Spring

Aubrey says this season is all about COLOR. “The brightness of colors can and will shift the mental dynamic to happy and hopeful,” she says optimistically after the gloomy Winter and pandemic. Her company advocates that women need to be empowered to love the skin they are in, look like a million bucks and do so without breaking the bank. “My mission is to remove the stigma of the perfect body and replace it with show-stopping boldness and confidence.”

From a fantastic selection of accessories, jewelry and hats, to swimwear, shoes and one-of-a-kind assembles, there’s always something for everyone—and that’s why the shop exists. “We want to see you look and feel your best. We are real women that understand the true value and beauty of womanhood. We love our bodies and all of their imperfections, our hair and all the different textures, and most of all our skin because it’s what we are in.”
