If you want to eat well outside this summer, Uchiko’s sushi boxes are your move. Chef de cuisine Andrés Araujo designed them to travel without losing anything, and that ambition shows.
Each box is built around contrast and momentum. Lighter, cleaner bites come first; richer, bolder ones follow. That fire-driven Uchiko personality shows up throughout, with smoke, acidity, and texture keeping each piece interesting from the first bite to the last. “We design the boxes to feel like a complete experience,” Andrés says.
The work starts long before the box is packed. Andrés’ team sources fish specifically for how it holds up over time, then obsesses over temperature, timing, and knife work to make sure nothing loses its integrity in transit. The goal is straightforward: what you open out of the box should feel exactly like what you’d be served at the table.
And the opening itself is part of it. “We want guests to feel excitement,” Andrés says, the boxes are so visually beautiful, it’s “almost like unwrapping a gift.” This summer, it’s the most considered thing you’ll pull out of a tote bag.

“We wanted to create a portable version of the Uchiko experience that still felt intentional, thoughtful, and elevated, whether you’re enjoying it at home, at a park, or with friends.”—chef de cuisine, Andrés Araujo
