Now Colorado has another reason to celebrate. Nike by Boulder opened early this Spring and outdoor enthusiasts are racing to check out what the new flagship store has to offer—especially now that marathons and hiking expeditions are in full swing. To celebrate joining the Boulder neighborhood, Nike hosted a community run in partnership with Boulder Women’s Running Club in April and the excitement hasn’t stopped since.

“It’s no secret that Coloradans are super active,” says Frank Ha, Vice President and General Manager, Nike Stores. “We saw an amazing opportunity in Boulder to provide local consumers a more digitally enabled shopping experience via our newest store concept, Nike Live.”

Nike has been quite successful with many stores in the area including Nike Unite Fort Collins, Nike’s Clearance Store in Aurora, and the Factory Stores in Lakewood, Thornton and Castle Rock, to name a few. However, the iconic Boulder location puts another key location on the map with a few new attributes geared to the outdoor enthusiast.

Stepping It Up

Nike Live stores are designed and curated specifically for the consumers who live in the area and offer data-informed product assortments. In other words, Nike knows how to effectively target local shoppers. For instance, the new Boulder store carries plenty of options for runners, since the city is a running mecca known for its elevation and routes.

“Nike by Boulder is unique because it’s our first Live concept store to open in Colorado. Our Live concept stores tailor product selection to meet the needs of local residents and cater specifically to our female consumers—although we sell both men’s and women’s products at the store.”

The digital offerings are also next level. Ha says when you unlock Nike Membership online, you get exclusive access to key services like Buy Online, Pickup In Store (BOPIS), digital returns and curbside pickup. Translation: Boulder residents can shop whenever and however they want. This allows the global brand to serve the marketplace of the future that Nike envisions, which ultimately empowers the customer’s shopping journey.

Keeping It Local

Nike by Boulder is located within the Twenty Ninth Street shopping area off of Canyon Boulevard. “Shoppers can expect a smaller format store with a curated assortment and a focus on serving women. No matter the size of the store, through digital and in-store experiences, we make sure our ‘Live’ doors are delivering the very best of Nike’s products, services and experiences our consumers love from Nike.”
