Did you know that if every household in the United States spent an additional $10 per month with a local business, an estimated $9.3 billion would flow into our local communities? That’s the price of a craft cocktail or decorative plant. And who couldn’t use a few more of those? Bodega 38, a Denver-based innovative online store, turned this notion into a delightful reality with its curated subscription boxes. Founded by Josh Davis, Bodega 38 is more than a subscription service; it’s a local love story that brings the best of Denver’s small businesses right to your doorstep.

The journey of Bodega 38 began when Davis finally grew tired of the endless stream of Amazon boxes that cluttered his garage during the pandemic and decided it was time to make a change. “I felt a bit defeated and wanted to change my own purchasing habits to support makers in my community,” Davis shared. And thus, Bodega 38 was born out of a desire to make supporting local businesses as easy as opening a box. The subscription model offers flexibility, allowing members to choose from bi-monthly, monthly, or quarterly deliveries, starting at just $69 a month. A small price to pay for a big impact on the community.

Each Bodega 38 box is a testament to Davis’ dedication to the community. Meticulously curated and custom-designed, each box contains a selection of three to six handpicked items from Denver’s diverse pool of talent. Snacks from local companies, locally roasted coffee, hand-poured candles, artisanal soaps, and unique pottery—all bundled up and delivered to your doorstep.

Bodega 38 also helps local businesses impress their clients by curating specialty gift boxes that speak to the company’s ethos. Bodega 38 can incorporate your business logo onto the box, include a thoughtful message, and pick specialty products that reflect the unique personality of your brand, ensuring that your corporate gift stands out and leaves a lasting impression.

For Davis, Bodega 38 is more than a business; it’s a movement to reshape the way we shop, one locally sourced box at a time. Each delivery is far more than just a collection of items; it’s a piece of Denver’s heart.
