When ski days end, the Very Important Kids program is a free way to make more memories with your littles through April 19. March is also the last month to experience Ullr Nights, the winter extravaganza where families can dance to live music, eat near the bonfire, and enjoy a variety of kid-oriented activities.

Safe yet challenging skiing for all children is offered at Kid Adventure Zones spread across the resort. While you’re still on the mountain, take the kids for a ride on the Gold Runner Alpine Coaster. Afterward, there’s more fun to be had at the Mountain Top Children’s Museum at the base of Peak 9. Good news: The spring season is set to last through Memorial Day!

Keystone Resort

Visit this resort’s Kidtopia for engaging activities the young ones will love. The program’s rotating schedule will have you and your kids meeting avalanche rescue dogs one day and snowshoeing the next. Dazzle your family further with a fireworks show every Saturday night through March 21.

Purgatory Resort

Purgatory offers a “World’s Best Spring Break” ski promotion during the month of March that will make your wallet as happy as the kids will be when they explore Animas City Adventure Park or hang out at Kids’ Night Out for a parent-free evening of pizza, games, and movies on March 3 and 10.

Steamboat Ski Resort

Keep the little ones busy all day with rides on North America’s longest coaster, The Outlaw Mountain Coaster, and ski lessons and activities at the Kids’ Vacation Center. Bonus: Kids 12 and under ski free with purchase of a five-or-more-day adult lift ticket.

Telluride Ski Resort

This southern resort’s après ski for kids is a win for the whole family: Parents enjoy a child-free afternoon of their own, while children ages 5-12 are safely brought from ski school to Kids Happy Hour for hands-on, indoor activities like candle and collage making.

Vail Ski Resort

Thrill your intermediate skiers with Kids Ski Adventure Camp, a five-day ski experience where your children from ages 7 to 14 can learn from skilled instructors. For off-the-slopes family fun, visit the football stadium- sized Adventure Ridge where your family can enjoy ski bikes, tubing lanes, a kid’s snowmobile track, and the Forest Flyer Mountain Coaster.

Winter Park Resort

Ski first, tube at the Coca-Cola Tube Park next, then drop the kiddies off at Camp Idlewild’s Kids’ Night Out for fun in the snow preceding crafts, movies, and pizza on Friday and Saturday nights through March 22.
