For a quarter-century now, thrill-seekers and kind-hearted skiers have flocked to Winter Park’s Mary Jane, embarking on an adrenaline- pumping adventure unlike any other. The 25th annual Jane-A-Thon, running March 1–2, is a pledge-based ski fundraiser where participants compete in various contests, such as most money raised, most donations, and completing all runs in a certain skill level. And it’s not just about personal achievement—it’s about raising thousands of dollars for a noble cause: Invest in Kids. It’s about pledging what you can edge, combining exhilarating athleticism with meaningful contributions.

By The Numbers

As participants carve their way through moguls and blaze their lines down Mary Jane, officials stationed at chairlifts eagerly check off each successfully completed run, acknowledging every mogul conquered and milestone achieved. “Last year, 440 skiers and snowboarders participated, collectively raising $343,000 for Invest in Kids,” says Eric Hilty, Invest in Kids board chair and Jane-A-Thon Planning Committee member. “IIK partners with local communities in Colorado, implementing evidence-based programs to enhance the health and well-being of over 14,000 children and their families annually,” says Hilty.

Individuals and teams, with a maximum of six members, are welcome to join this mogul-sized flex of bombing the bumps. March 1 is Corporate Day, where sponsoring companies are urged to ditch the office drama and join the fun. “We are still accepting sponsorship opportunities for companies of all sizes, with custom options also available,” Hilty shares. Friends and Family Day is on March 2 and is open to anyone. And be sure to stay afterward for the Après Ski Party to toast your victories and perhaps snag an award. So, whether you’re a skiing enthusiast or a company looking to make a difference, Mary Jane’s fundraiser, which is actually the longest-running ski fundraiser in all of Colorado, Hilty shares, offers an exceptional opportunity to help kids, one mogul at a time. Join this remarkable tradition of challenging slopes and raising hope.
