“Flame to Field is a great blend of bright citrus with a full punch of spice and light smoke from the green chili and mezcal. It’s a tasty drink for Springtime!”—Kyle Bobkowski, Beverage Manager of Five Nines
Flame to Field
Ingredients
1 ½ oz. St. George Green Chili Vodka
½ oz. Del Maguey Vida Mezcal
1 ½ oz. pineapple juice (fresh is best but Dole canned pineapple juice *not from concentrate* is a strong alternative)
½ oz. fresh lime juice
½ oz. Giffard Orgeat (Small Hands and Liquid Alchemist offer great options too)
10 dashes Bittermen’s Mole Bitters
All the ingredients are typically available at larger liquor stores, or more boutique stores with strong cocktail sections.
Directions
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with cube ice, shake vigorously and strain over fresh ice. Garnish with a lime wheel and serve with a side of corn nuts.

Tell us about Five Nines.
“It has an incredible, dynamic crowd that has embraced us so kindly. The neighborhood has really responded to who we are and what we offer and our guests are ecstatic every time they visit. Every newcomer gasps when they pass the threshold and is surprised when the curtains are drawn and they get to experience Hard Candy Dancers on our cozy stage.”
When did you start bartending?
“Almost a decade ago, it took only a few bar-backing experiences for me to realize that cooking in kitchens and food trucks just wasn’t where I wanted to take my career. I was working with a couple of witty and scruffy veteran bartenders and when my chance came to move out of the kitchen, they took me under their wings and shared so much wisdom.”
Why is Five Nines a great spot?
“We’re very fortunate to have an amazing team that drives a strong program and we’ve partnered with a stunning dance troupe to offer a unique type of entertainment. Also, challenge your tastes! In drink, in food, in dance, in aesthetic, in everything. We want to push and stretch the ideas of purity and the classics and create more and more off-the-wall drinks. Grow and be better and better every day, we’re certainly aiming to do the same.”
