The Family Jones’ Let It Linger Cocktail Recipe

One part distillery, one part cocktail bar, The Family Jones shakes things up with a drink that’ll put some extra cheer in your season.

Let It Linger Cocktail

Course Cocktail


  • oz. The Family Jones Atticus Jones Rye Whiskey
  • ¼ oz. lemon juice 
  • ¾ oz. Cranberry Sage Syrup
  • dollop of infused sage honey on mini spoon
  • rooibos steep tea
  • smoked with dehydrated sage leaf
Cranberry Sage Syrup
  • 3 c. fresh cranberries
  • sugar
  • sage


  • Build in shaker. Dry shake.
  • Double strain into tea cup. Top with tea.
  • Use an electric smoker to smoke the dehydrated sage leaf and place on top.
Cranberry Sage Syrup 
  • Roast a bushel of sage and set aside.
  • Add 3 c. fresh cranberries to pot and bring to boil. Double strain out skins.
  • Transfer water into plastic container, add sage, and let sit.
  • Add sugar to the cranberries and macerate down into syrup.
  • Combine with water and sage mixture. Let cool.
