In what ways does El Mariachi deviate from a classic margarita’s flavor profile?
The use of Yellow Chartreuse adds a unique herbal note that heightens an already stellar classic.

What led you to choose Yellow Chartreuse and dry curaçao for El Mariachi? Chartreuse packs an herbal punch and is naturally sweet due to its honey content. When paired with the dry curaçao, it rounds off a perfect balance.

What’s the inspiration behind the El Mariachi name? I’m a native of southern California, where mariachis are a symbol of celebration and community. The upbeat melodies and quick tempos spark excitement and jubilation, which I wanted to match for the palate.

How does El Mariachi fit into the current trends in cocktail culture? Everyone likes to explore classic cocktails and find a way to take them a step further. With Yellow Chartreuse’s popularity at an alltime high, and a margarita being a staple of any cocktail menu, the combination of these two things almost seemed like a no-brainer— a must-have for any budding cocktail program.
