This Mother’s Day make your reservations at Babe’s Tea Room for a lovely afternoon of finger sandwiches, pastries, loose leaf teas and prosecco. Babe’s lets you sample as many teas as you want while providing house-made bites with vegan, dairy and gluten-free options. Their teas are sourced from all over the world and span black, oolong, white, green, pu-erh and herbal teas. Their desserts change often to reflect holidays like Mother’s Day, Easter, Christmas and Valentine’s Day.

Citizen Rail

“All you can eat” is just about the greatest phrase in our brunch vocabulary right behind “bottomless.” Citizen Rails’ Mother’s Day Brunch will be an all-you-can-eat buffet featuring pastries; fruit; sourdough French toast; an omelet station; seafood platters with snow crab, shrimp, mussels, clams and oysters; prime rib and of course lots of meat. Reservations are recommended for May 8 at $65 per person, $35 for children 12 and under.

Cooking Classes

The kitchen is a great place to bond with your mom. Reminisce about your mom teaching you to bake the cupcakes for your Kindergarten class as your take your culinary skills to the next level. At Uncorked Kitchen, learn to make refreshing Ginger and Orange Spritzer, Cocoa & Hazelnut French Toasts, Spring Vegetable Baked Frittata and Strawberry Shortcake to finish. Classes are at 10 and 10:30 a.m. on May 8 so make reservations. At Stir Cooking School perfect the French macaron from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Denver Yoga Social

Bring your mom for Baby Goat Yoga & Mimosas this Mother’s Day at Infinite Monkey Winery on May 8. Fall into a Zen state during your 50-minute flow, then laugh, cuddle and socialize with your mom and the goats for 30 minutes after. Studies show that goats produce an automatic relaxation response—their mere presence during the flow will lift your spirit, enhance communication and lessen feelings of sadness or grief. Afterward, sip on a glass of their white, red or rosé or try their new canned wines and cocktails. Tickets are selling fast, so get yours quick.

Local Jones

Skip straight to dessert with Local Jones special Mother’s Day Dessert Tower ($45) featuring mini petit fours and pastries on May 8. They will also be serving the drink special Momma’s Ambrosia Mimosa ($14) with sparkling white wine, strawberry-basil shrub, orange liqueur and bitters. To sweeten the deal even more, their partner LINK x LOU will be there creating memorable bracelets, necklaces, anklets and rings that stand the test of time.

Mother’s Day Brunch with Beethoven

Elevate your regular Sunday brunch to this very special occasion at the historic Grant-Humphrey Museum in Denver. Chef Dan Hiett has designed a pre-fix tasting menu including eggs benedict, tartines, quiche, scones, fruit, meat and cheese boards. There will also be live classical piano and violin, mimosas, coffee and fresh flower bouquets for the moms to take home. Seatings are available at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on May 8 lasting 90 minutes.

Mother’s Day 5ks

For those active, Colorado moms, run the Denver Mother’s Day 5k together. There will be a pancake and sausage breakfast for all participants and all the female runners will receive a rose after crossing the finish line for Mother’s Day. The starter’s gun goes off at 9 a.m. on May 8 at Denver’s City Park. Looking to run for a cause? Boulder Running Company is partnering with MS Run the US Relay, the only 3,100 miles relay across America. The Mother’s Day Run for MS at Stagecoach State Park on May 12 is a 5k for a cause so don’t miss your opportunity to be a part of the nation’s longest relay.

Spas

Mom life can be crazy. That’s why Spavia is putting mother’s relaxation first. Choose from packages like “Relaxation,” “Recenter” and “Renew.” The Oxford Hotel Spa offers top-of-the-line services. For mothers-to-be book the “Mommy and Me” massage. If you and your mom are looking to get pampered together, book the couple’s massage for a joint session.

Need a last-minute gift idea? A little bit goes a long way with mothers so don’t fret if you forgot to make reservations. Pick up or place an order for an extraordinary flower arrangement at Bouquets or make your own at City Floral.
