KTHOM galerie grew organically out of Kristen Thomas’s work at her eponymous design firm, Studio Thomas. “We’re always sourcing unique pieces for our projects,” she says. “Over time, we realized that many past clients still wanted access to the things we love and would recommend, even if they weren’t taking on a full-service project again.” Launching the galerie became a way to share those finds more widely—a curated mix of pieces that reflect Studio Thomas’s philosophy of intentional, personal living.
The selection process is intuitive, guided by character rather than category, and can happen anywhere. “We’re simply searching for things that feel special,” Kristen says. “We’re not focused on whether something is vintage or contemporary; we’re drawn to pieces with character that can seamlessly work into someone’s space.” New arrivals are added as they’re discovered, and clients can browse and purchase online, or set an appointment to see the pieces in person in their Englewood-based space.
Compared to Studio Thomas’s fuller, narrative-driven interiors, KTHOM galerie has a more distilled aesthetic. “Each piece stands on its own rather than contributing to a larger narrative,” she explains. “It’s about the individual item, its character, its presence.”
Kristen is especially drawn to patina and lived finishes, believing that layered homes feel more human. “People aren’t one-dimensional, and their homes shouldn’t be either,” she says. “Pieces with patina or a weathered finish bring depth and uniqueness into a home.”
Ultimately, the galerie reflects a philosophy that “living luxuriously doesn’t mean a home has to feel extravagant; it’s about living intentionally.” The pieces are meant to be layered, mixed, and loved—objects that “become part of a home’s story while functioning beautifully in daily life.”
