Oakwell Beer Spa—the Denver-born concept that pairs wellness rituals with craft beer—has officially expanded to Highlands Ranch. The new location brings its signature blend of relaxation and hops to the suburbs, offering an elevated spin on self-care with a Colorado twist.
This expansion marks a big moment for the local business. “After four years of near-capacity bookings at our RiNo location, we knew it was time to grow,” says founder Damien Zouaoui. “Highlands Ranch was a natural next step—it’s vibrant, community-driven, and home to a wellness-minded audience.”
Guests book private suites for a self-guided wellness circuit that includes an infrared sauna, a cold shower, and a warm soak infused with hops and barley. While the new 3,400-square-foot space stays true to the original vibe—think organic and unmistakably Colorado—it ups the ante with more room to relax. There are now four private Beer Therapy Rooms (big enough for three people instead of two), five zero-gravity massage chairs, and a patio for post-soak lounging.
To bring the space to life, the founders worked closely with Melissa Friday of Xan Creative to channel what Zouaoui calls a “mid-century jungle.” Highlights include hand-painted Italian tile in the private spa suites, an oversized bamboo wall in the taproom, and a fiber optic starscape ceiling in the relaxation lounge. And yes, there’s still beer—lots of it. A rotating lineup of local brews is available on the self-serve tap wall, including a cucumber one made specifically for the spa. The whole experience feels uniquely Denver: a little quirky, effortlessly cool, and perfect for everything from date nights to decompressing with friends.
And the Highlands Ranch location isn’t the final stop. “This space represents the next evolution of Oakwell and will serve as the prototype for future growth,” says Zouaoui. “While we can’t share exact details just yet, we’re in the early stages of expanding the brand nationally and are excited about what’s ahead.”
