When the house lights dim at the Colorado Symphony, something transformative happens. The first note floats through the air, and suddenly, the grandeur of Boettcher Concert Hall feels both vast and intimate, a space where elegance and emotion coexist. It’s a fitting backdrop for this season’s fashion performance, where texture, tone, and silhouette echo the rhythms of winter itself.
Nick Dobreff, the Symphony’s communications and creative director, describes the magic best: “When you walk into the concert hall, it gives a sense of intimacy, but it’s also awe-inspiring because you feel like you’re almost right on stage. Every seat feels close, it’s something else.”
Much like a symphony, winter fashion is about composition, the interplay of light and shadow, of weight and movement. Velvet catches the glow of the stage lights, sequins shimmer like the delicate clash of cymbals, and silk gowns sweep across the floor like a conductor’s baton in motion. It’s not just about looking beautiful—it’s about creating presence, performance, and grace.
The Colorado Symphony has long been known for its ability to blend the traditional and the modern, performing everything from Mahler to The Flaming Lips. In the same spirit, this shoot captures that duality, timeless sophistication meeting bold expression. Together, fashion and music remind us that beauty isn’t static. It’s a living, breathing experience that invites us to feel something.
And in this moment, surrounded by melody and light, it’s impossible not to.
The team behind this production includes photographer Caroline Miller, stylist Hailee Lucchesi, and executive editor Lacy Morris, with creative director Tom Viscocchi overseeing the project. Model Emma Snow, represented by The Block Agency, brought the fashion to life. Hair was styled by Grace Martin, and makeup was done by Liz Wegrzyn. Photo assistant and Digitech support were provided by Dag Larson, with Wil Francis serving as gaffer. Wardrobe assistance came from Marisa Brail, and production assistance from Aspen Bentley. Special thanks to the Colorado Symphony and Nick Dobreff for the use of Boettcher Concert Hall and their invaluable support.
