Halfdays quickly gained a cult following after launching in 2020. Hour-long lines form for their end-of-season Denver sample sale, and new drops sell out in record time. It’s because founders Ariana Ferwerda and Kiley McKinnon discovered the secret to a perfect ski day and—like the true girls’ girls they are—decided to share it with us: gear that’s flattering, functional, and fun. This season, Halfdays adds reflective ripstop fabric finishes, an expanded base layer collection, and three new colorways, including a deep merlot inspired by a fictional place, or better yet, a mood. “Our team dreamt up The Glazed Cherry Chalet,” says Kiley. “Think a retro ’70s après ski escape filled with warm woods, cozy corners, and a hint of cheeky decadence.” Amethyst, a playful, powdery lilac, and Nuthatch, a rich, burnished bronze, round out the trio. Here, we spotlight a few can’t-miss products, with the founders’ tips on why they’re must-haves for every mountain maven. Pick it up at their new flagship store in RiNo, at REI, or on halfdays.com.
