Eric Sandoval knows a thing or two about luxury cars. He started Oxotic Supercar Driving Experience in 2013 after a lucrative career in sales and marketing for major tech companies. “I have been a car enthusiast my whole life,” says Sandoval. “My first car was a 1973 Datsun 240Z. Since then I have owned more than 50 sports and supercars. It was always a hobby and I have had so much joy sharing my cars with friends over the years. This business is a way to share my passion with others that may never have the opportunity to sit in a supercar let alone drive one.”
Denver’s Luxury Car Scene
As an automotive expert now known for his fleet of ten supercars, including Lamborghini, Ferrari, McLaren, Aston Martin, Porsche, and AMG, Sandoval says the luxury car market has surged over the last 17 years in Colorado. “It is a totally different place in many respects. We now have Mike Ward who has taken charge and built an empire—bringing in all of the top brands to the market, such as McLaren, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, and even now representing Koenigsegg, a hypercar manufacturer.”
In addition to his mouth-dropping vehicles parked right there on the property, Sandoval’s facility is a luxury showroom full of auto memorabilia and art with a small gallery of rare posters, signs, and murals. “Due to the nature of the business, we are always adding new cars to the fleet [to] keep the experience fresh and exciting. We typically cycle out two cars and replace two cars every year as we cycle out older vehicles.”
You Can Drive One
These impressive supercars fall within the $200-350K per price range if you were to purchase one on your own, so visitors tend to book a drive instead. “Our tours range from $150 to $1400. This, of course, is dependent on a variety of things that we offer, such as photo packages and merchandise; plus you can choose how many miles you want to drive.” He notes that his business is a big Mercedes AMG shop as well, which are very popular with guests.
They also offer Rally Style tours which range from 15 miles and last 30 to 45 minutes, or up to 105 miles, which last 3.5 to 4 hours. “Our two longest and most popular tours are 65 miles and 105 miles allowing drivers and passengers the ability to cycle through 5 to 8 supercars during the 3 to 4 hour tour. Meaning they could drive $2 to 3 million dollars in various supercars over the course of the tour.”
Bring A Group
It’s no surprise that this unique “fast and furious” activity is attracting a lot of attention from the corporate sector. Great for team building, board meetings, or even bachelor and bachelorette parties—groups can enjoy catering, event space rentals for presentations, inhouse tables and chairs, etc. “Throughout the past eight years, we have entertained over 25,000 guests and completed hundreds of corporate events with clients such as Hewlett Packard, Merrill Lynch, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Gigamon, Ring Central, and countless others.”
The best part? Oxotic Supercar Driving Experience uses a number of Canyon-only routes for their tours that are not only scenic but incredible to experience in a convertible supercar— and it’s only 25 minutes from Downtown Denver.
