Young, Outdoorsy’s chief marketing officer, knows firsthand how transformative van life can be. Seeking an escape from corporate burnout, she and cofounder Jeff Cavins sold their homes, bought an Airstream, and hit the road—an experience that ultimately shaped Outdoorsy into what it is today: a platform making van travel more accessible than ever. “People are prioritizing experiences over things, and they want to escape the usual tourist routes in favor of something more personal and immersive,” Young says.
One of Outdoorsy’s standout vehicles, the Storyteller Overland Stealth, is built for off-grid exploration. Riding on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis, it features the Volta Power System, a lithium-ion battery setup that eliminates the need for a generator. Designed for those who seek adventure beyond the usual tourist routes, this van allows travelers to embrace the journey at their own pace. “In a van, you don’t have to rush from one destination to the next,” Young says. “You can park wherever the view is best, wake up to nature, and truly be present. Unlike traditional travel, where you retreat to a hotel at night, van life makes the outdoors your home.”
