Boulder Roots Music Fest October 17-19
The Boulder Roots Music Fest announced tickets are now on sale for the inaugural festival Oct. 17-19. The only festival of its kind in Boulder will feature more than 100 bands and 14 stages, highlighting Colorado’s rising artists, plus national headliners Yonder Mountain String Band, North Mississippi Allstars, Andy Frasco and the U.N, and more.
The Boulder Roots Music Fest, a joint effort between the Roots Music Project, a charitable music community in Boulder, and Caruso Ventures, a catalytic tech investment firm in Boulder, will highlight the remarkable depth and diversity of talent across the state. From seasoned veterans to rising stars, the lineup showcases the broad range of sounds and styles that make Colorado’s music scene so distinctive. Featured artists include Banshee Tree, Boulder Phil Harmonic Orchestra, Danger Foley, David Lawrence and the Spoonfuls, DNA Picasso, Old Man Saxon, Rootbeer Richie & The Reveille, Velvet Daydream, and Wrenn Van—with over 100 additional acts to be announced in the coming weeks.
The festival will celebrate and incorporate the city and businesses of Boulder, bringing together the community to experience the arts, culture, music and technology at both traditional and non-traditional venues, including retail stores on and around Pearl Street. The festival will take place at the Boulder Theater, eTown, The Velvet Elk, 8Z Real Estate, Garage Sale Vintage, License No. 1, Odd Fellows Lodge, Paradise Found Records and Music, Savannah Bee Company, and Stone Cottage Studios. The festival will also feature outdoor stages at 16th and Pearl Street and Pearl Street Mall.
The festival will also feature thought-provoking panels spotlighting emerging leaders in Boulder’s creative tech scene, an exploration of the city’s rich musical legacy, and a showcase of the next generation of local music talent.
Festival passes are available now, with three-day passes offering full access to all performances across multiple indoor and outdoor stages. Students can attend the entire weekend at a special discounted rate with valid ID. Tickets and full details are available at rootsmusicproject.org/rootsmusicfest.
