Music brings people together, and it’s about to draw you to Colorado Springs for a show in the shadow of Pikes Peak. Why venture there when we have Red Rocks? Because every artist dreams of playing at the iconic amphitheater, but with limited dates, not all can. Enter the Ford Amphitheater, ready to fill that void. Owned and built by businessman JW Roth, this $90 million music venue offers a luxury experience that’s well worth the drive.
You might know it as Sunset Amphitheater, but Ford recently took over naming rights with a hefty investment. Debuting on August 9 with a sold-out OneRepublic concert, this 8,000-capacity, state-of-the-art venue developed by Venu (formerly Notes Live) is a game-changer for the Polaris Pointe development in Colorado Springs. Located southeast of Interstate 25 and North Gate Boulevard, the new amphitheater is stunning, with no bad seat in the house.
The Ford Amphitheater offers spectacular views of the sun setting over Pikes Peak, flanked by the United States Air Force Academy stadium and the renowned Air Force glass chapel. But the allure of this place extends beyond the boundaries of the stage and the setting—it’s also about the set. With amenities like some 90-plus VIP luxury fire pit suites, Roth’s Seafood and Chophouse, and Brohan’s rooftop bar boasting over 150 bourbons, it’s a world-class dining and entertainment experience.
Billed as the luxury answer to outdoor concert- going, the amphitheater features top-tier audio and visuals. The back of the house features a self-draining grass lawn, followed by seating sections that precede the fire-pit suites—which all sold out two years ago, according to JW Roth, CEO of Venu. Those suites hold the best seats in the house—but they’re not private, unless you snag all eight tickets. Otherwise, think of it as an opportunity to make some new friends with similar tastes in music.
With its stunning views, luxury amenities, and top-tier performances, it’s set to become a cornerstone of Colorado Springs’ entertainment scene.
