French toast for spring brunch? We're all in. We asked the folks at Four Friends Kitchen for their recipe.

Four Friends French Toast

Yields 1 quart of batter

Batter Ingredients
1/2 cup brown sugar
8 eggs
1/2 cup milk (or condensed milk for added sweetness
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tbsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt

Directions
Mix all ingredients together and chill. Slice a baguette diagonally. Dip in batter so the entire slice is covered, then griddle about six minutes per side until the coating starts to brown. Top with butter and syrup or berry preserves, crème Anglaise, whipped cream, and powdered sugar.
