Step inside Taylor’d Home and the atmosphere feels instantly intentional. The space is layered with furniture, art, and objects that carry a sense of patina and presence, arranged in a way that invites you to linger. Founder Taylor Heslop built the store to mirror the feeling of wandering through a beautifully curated home. “I want people to feel as though they’re on their own sourcing trip,” Taylor says. “Shopping through unique finds from around the world in a setting that feels collected, elevated, and intentional.”
Every piece in the shop is selected through a personal filter. “Ultimately, the name says it all,” he notes. “Would I put this in my home? If the answer is yes, it goes in the shop. If not, then it doesn’t.” The result is a mix of vintage and antique furniture, globally sourced décor, small-batch tabletop pieces, and sculptural accents chosen for their craftsmanship and soul.
The candle wall is Taylor’d Home’s most striking focal point. Thousands of tapers and cone candles line the wall in a spectrum of colors and sizes. “I’m an old soul at heart,” Taylor says. “I love hosting an event or dinner party illuminated by nothing but the soft glow of candlelight, so I decided, why not build an entire wall made up of tapers and cone candles?” Each one is sourced from a candlemaker in Denmark.
The aesthetic blends European influence with a grounded, Colorado sensibility. Local touches add depth, including paintings by Chelsea Sommerfeld and pottery made by Taylor’s father, a ceramicist for more than 50 years.
Denver’s historic South Pearl Street felt like the right fit from the beginning. “In a way, I feel like it chose me,” Taylor says. Surrounded by small businesses and a community that supports one another, Taylor’d Home now brings a warm, globally inspired point of view to the neighborhood.
