Youth Empowerment and Safety (YES)
The community is invited to Youth Empowerment and Safety (YES), an educational workshop on sexual violence prevention, Aug. 4 from 5:30–7:30 p.m. at Baby University, 10255 E. 25th Ave. #11, Aurora, Colo. Admission is $15 per individual and $20 per couple.
Designed for parents, caregivers, and youth-serving professionals, YES equips adults with the knowledge and tools to protect children from sexual abuse, assault, and exploitation.
Participants will learn to recognize warning signs, have age-appropriate conversations with children about consent, and respond supportively to disclosures of abuse – as well as identify resources for survivors and their families.
