Saturday, September 13 | Chaffee Park | Denver, CO
Free family event provided $10,000 to neighborhood organizations in 2024
Local lineup includes Rootbeer Richie & The Reveille, Zambia, and more
DENVER, CO – A 25-year-old neighborhood festival, the volunteer-run, nonprofit Sunnyside Music Festival returns to Chaffee Park in Denver on Saturday, September 13, 2025.
From humble beginnings as a grassroots gathering in a Sunnyside neighborhood backyard in 2000, the free annual event has grown to support local bands, businesses, artisans, and youth organizations through year-round programming.
From last year’s proceeds, the Board allocated $10,000 to fund grants for neighborhood youth arts and music programs.
This year’s lineup of Colorado talent includes Rootbeer Richie & The Reveille, Zambia, Joe Smith & The Spicy Pickles, Ritmo Cascabel, and Jesh Yancy & The High Hopes between 12pm – 7:30pm.
In addition to live music, Sunnyside Music Festival also includes a morning yoga session, a kids’ activity park, an artisan market, and more.
“We believe music is more than entertainment—it’s a tool for connection, expression, and transformation. That’s why, in addition to our free annual festival, we invest in the next generation through small grants that support local youth music and arts programs. These programs provide vital opportunities for young people to explore their creativity, build confidence, and find their voice, and we could continue this festival without our sponsor partners, vendors, and volunteers. A tremendous amount of gratitude to everyone who attends our event”, said Sunnyside Music Festival Board President Gabriel Moreno.
