The Mestas-Abbott Quartet with Special Guest Jonathan Powell

The Mestas-Abbott quartet has been together since 2022, playing shows all over Denver and Boulder. They play the most beautiful and life-affirming songs (in their humble opinion) from the greatest composers of Latin American jazz in South America, Cuba, and Mexico…Alessandro Penezzi, Hugo Fattoruso, César Camargo Mariano, Daniel Maza, Tom Jobim, and more. The quartet features Victor Mestas on piano and keyboards, Mike Abbott on acoustic and electric guitars, special guest Jonathan Powell, Kirwan Brown on electric bass, and Jill Fredricksen on drums and percussion.
