The Popular Denver Restaurants Expanding to Ski Country

Denver’s dining innovators elevate aprés-ski dining options with new outposts in Vail and Snowmass.

Tavernetta

A new Vail outpost of the Frasca Hospitality Group’s Tavernetta, located inside the Four Seasons, highlights Italy’s alpine regions with breakfast and dinner. Expect early morning favorites like house-made muesli and Benedetto, an Italian benedict with prosciutto, and hearty dinner additions like alpine sausage and A5 wagyu. The space exudes warmth and sophistication with elegant arched ceilings, rich wood accents, soft ambient lighting, and a harmonious blend of earthy tones, plush seating, and intricate tile details.

Toro

Located inside the newly renovated Viceroy in Snowmass, Toro combines stunning decor with the same incredible Latin-inspired dishes from chef Richard Sandoval that Denver diners love. Lavish chandeliers cast a warm, ambient glow, while lush greenery enhances the vibrant atmosphere. A rich, rust-colored ceiling adds a moody, maximalist touch, creating an immersive and luxurious dining experience. The boutique sushi and sashimi bar offers an intimate setting for expertly crafted bites.

Avanti Food & Beverage

The food hall that launched Makfam and other successful Denver concepts is opening a third location at Golden Peak Base in Vail—the resort’s smallest base and home to its ski school. This new outpost will feature a bar and five unique dining concepts, including second locations for two Denver favorites: Glo, a popular ramen house, and Boychik, known for its fresh, elevated Mediterranean cuisine. The lineup also includes Backyard Burgers, Powder Crust Pizza, and Detoor, specializing in breakfast and sandwiches.
