With three different and equally exciting temporary exhibitions available, the Denver Museum of Nature & Science truly has something for everyone this summer.

Feeling a little toxic? Explore the captivating and often paradoxical world of nature’s toxic arsenal in “The Power of Poison,” a temporary exhibition now open at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science.
With live performances and interactive dioramas, this spellbinding exhibition will take you into familiar and novel tales of illness, enchantment and death by poison. Learn about the many plants and animals living deep in the Colombian forest that use poison as a vital tool for defense and survival. Find out how studying poison’s effects on human cells can help scientists figure out how to protect, repair and heal our own bodies and improve our health. Whether used as a defense against predators, a source of magical strength or a lifesaving medical treatment, “The Power of Poison” is sure to surprise you at every turn. It is included with general Museum admission and free to Museum members.”

While you’re at the Museum, be sure to visit the two other temporary exhibitions this summer: “Orcas: Our Shared Future” and “Discover Teen Rex.” Unleash the magic of the sea with “Orcas: Our Shared Future,” a stunning display of science, art, and pop culture combined to celebrate our relationship with the fascinating and awe-inspiring orca. (Warning: millennials might feel some serious nostalgia over the “Free Willy” VHS tapes.) Swim fast and save 20% on “Orcas: Our Shared Future,” now through closing on September 2.

Are you a dinosaur enthusiast? Don’t miss the opportunity to witness history and step into our prehistoric past with “Discovering Teen Rex,” now open at the Museum. This unique experience will allow you to witness renowned paleontologists as they work to preserve a rare adolescent T. Rex fossil while unveiling the incredible story of its discovery by young dino hunters in North Dakota. “Discover Teen Rex” is also free to Museum Members and included with general Museum admission.
Whether you want to see the sea, visit the past or test the power of poison, the Denver Museum of Nature & Science is your destination for summer fun!
