Designer Interview

How would you describe your design style and point of view?

At Studio Lea, we believe function always comes first, with beauty thoughtfully layered in. Our work is rooted in creating spaces that feel calm, timeless, and deeply personal rather than trend-driven. We’re drawn to natural materials, rich textures, thoughtful details, and interiors that reflect the people who live in them. Every design decision begins with understanding our clients’ lifestyles, ensuring each space not only looks beautiful but supports everyday life for years to come.

What drew you to this space, and what excited you most about designing it?

We intentionally chose a gym and powder room because they’re often overlooked in the design process. While they may not be the largest or most photographed spaces in a home, they’re used every day and deserve the same level of care and creativity as a kitchen or living room. We loved the opportunity to show that these “supporting spaces” can still make a lasting impression through thoughtful materials, lighting, and architectural details. Great design should elevate every moment of your day, even the ones spent working out or simply washing your hands.

Describe the vision for your room in three words—and why those words matter.

Calm. Comforting. Confident.

We wanted the spaces to evoke a sense of quiet sophistication. Calm through a restrained palette and thoughtful composition, comforting through warm materials and layered textures, and confident through bold color choices and architectural details. Together, these qualities create rooms that feel inviting while still making a statement.
