Atomic Cowboy Cinnamon Roll
Sweet and savory rolled into one
Ingredients
- 2 cans of your favorite store-brand biscuits with cream cheese icing
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 2-3 tbsp apple butter (recipe below)
- garnish tender belly bacon
Directions
- On a floured work surface, knead biscuit dough together, then roll out to a rectangle, about ¼" - ½".
- Pour melted butter all over the biscuit dough.
- Spread evenly.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
- Spread apple butter over the biscuit dough.
- Roll the dough to create cinnamon roll log.
- Using a serrated knife, cut the log into 1" rolls.
- Place rolls on a greased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 325 degrees until rolls are golden brown.
- While you allow the rolls to cool, crisp bacon on a frying pan.
- Top rolls with your favorite cream cheese icing and crumbled bacon.
