What was the overall vision for your space?

Attelier envisioned a space where tailored sophistication meets functional with bold statement areas that fuse both masculine and feminine styles.

What’s your favorite detail in your space?

The surrounding cabinetry does not have hardware, which Attelier thought would be unique. The integrated finger pulls on the drawer banks creates a simplistic, seamless vibe. They also really like that the backsplash in the kitchen is windows – you don’t see that a lot and it will add a great amount of light into the kitchen.

What, in your space, reflects your own personal design style?

The colored cabinets and the patterned tile backsplash over the range are pretty trademark for Attelier’s design style.

What was the overall vision for your space?

Christy Sports really wanted to lean into the organic and natural side of Scandi design, so they selected pieces that look like they were forged in nature themselves. Everything Christy Sports chose has a natural element, wood grain paint, live edge tables, and woven leather like seating. Additionally, they made sure everything was easy to clean material, with nothing fussy or superfluous.

What’s your favorite detail in your space?

Christy Sports loves the new cushionless designs that they are seeing their industry. With a slow down in production of fabrics during the pandemic, companies started to think outside the cushion box, so to speak. Christy Sports are showcasing a hand-woven collection with the look of leather and wood. It’s stylish, minimal and sleek without compromising on comfort.

What, in your space, reflects your own personal design style?

This project was all about highlighting one of Christy Sports’ favorite and most reliable furniture vendors, Ebel. Ebel has been a constant force in the outdoor furniture game and continues to introduce new designs that are practical and durable.

What was the overall vision for your space?

J Designs envisioned this floor as the place in the house with spaces to unplug. They created a relaxed reading nook and creative artist retreat where they wove in a fun green motif throughout to connect the spaces and create a cohesive feeling.

What’s your favorite detail in your space?

J Designs wanted to create a splash so they carried the green walls throughout the entire upstairs hall, then incorporated a beautiful wall of linen drapes in the artist retreat. The juxtaposition with the green and the softening texture of the linen is magic.

What, in your space, reflects your own personal design style?

J Designs always try to create at least a few custom pieces for each project. Here they designed a funky chair in the reading nook with a super unexpected shape and a knockout pattern that they just love.

What was the overall vision for your space?

Julia Wilkins Interiors’ space was inspired by the warm days of summer. The palette is sunny yet calming like a summer day. In line with the overall aesthetic of the home—their space is their interpretation of “Urban Scandinavian” style. The elegance and simplicity of Scandinavian and the casual masculinity of urban. The space offers an ombre color palette that is calming to the senses.

What’s your favorite detail in your space?

The layered clay bedding feels rich and inviting. It makes you want to cuddle up for a nap!

What, in your space, reflects your own personal design style?

Julia Wilkins Interiors loves designing in ombre tonal color palettes. The effect is intriguing and calming.

What was the overall vision for your space?

Calm luxury. With the Primary Suite being a place that should give the feeling of both sanctuary and serenity…Kaleidoscope Design chose to introduce colors that evoked just that. They intentionally set deep and moody color tones against bright and fresh finishes.

What’s your favorite detail in your space?

Kaleidoscope Design loves the wallcovering which creates both art and drama in one space.

What, in your space, reflects your own personal design style?

Kaleidoscope Design attempts to be unpredictable with their designs to show versatility in style and taste. The mixture of materials in the space shows just that.

What was the overall vision for your space?

Kim Layne Interiors saw an opportunity to create a crisp and fun landing space for the full life of the modern Denver family.

What’s your favorite detail in your space?

Kim Layne Interiors’ favorite detail is the dynamic wallpaper with its lofty, bold pattern.

What, in your space, reflects your own personal design style?

Kim Layne Interiors loves a modern, timeless feel in their living space designs.

What was the overall vision for your space?

The vision La-Z-Boy had was to create a space for an urban setting that reflects the adventurer spirit at heart.

What’s your favorite detail in your space?

La-Z-Boy enjoys the different ways they created interest off of the reflection of the Bicycle motif.

What, in your space, reflects your own personal design style?

La-Z-Boy allowed the accessories in the room to create a balance of contrast and emphasis with a touch of amusement.

What was the overall vision for your space?

Lulu’s Furniture & Decor wanted the dining room to be uncomplicated and authentic. The clean lines of the table and light go hand in hand with the principles of Scandinavian design, keeping functionality and simplicity at the forefront.

What’s your favorite detail in your space?

More often than not, dining chairs are mundane and inefficient. The backs of the chairs in Lulu’s Furniture & Décor’s space were anything but, and definitely their favorite detail.

What, in your space, reflects your own personal design style?

The simplicity of the space, and the lack of color are reflections of Lulu’s Furniture & Décor’s style. Anyone who knows them knows they am extremely straight forward and the dining room mirrors that. You will not find layers of unnecessary accessories or anything that does not serve a purpose.

What was the overall vision for your space?

Home offices are not only wonderful places of respite in a busy household but have now become part of our everyday lives as well. R Johnston Interiors designed this home office to be a place of focus while also being a room to relax and renew the creative spirit. The color palette takes its cue from the indoor/outdoor connection provided by windows on all sides of the room. Inspired by wallpaper that evokes an abstract mountain range, an overall palette of soft, earthy hues with punches of rust and gold were used to create balance, texture, and depth in the space.

Mixing Scandinavian simplicity with organic mountain vibes, the design feels vernacular to downtown Denver and its dynamic lifestyle. A built-in bookcase wall surrounding the floor to ceiling windows creates a focal point and provides both display space as well as functional closed storage for the owner. A heavy timber desk grounds the room, while the curves of the lounge chair soften the mood.

What’s your favorite detail in your space?

Every well-designed space should have some level of texture, either visual or tactile. The wallpaper R Johnston Interiors choose for this home office is texture rich, creating depth that visually expands the boundaries of the room. Your eyes can simply get lost in the texture and pattern, which creates a soothing effect. They wanted this room to connect to the outdoor spaces just beyond, and the layered, almost mountain-like, look of this paper really achieved that for them.

What, in your space, reflects your own personal design style?

R Johnston Interiors started in Southern California – but Rebecca Johnston, Owner and Principal, grew up in the mountains of Colorado. Their tag line “California Casual, with a Global Influence” references a design style with an emphasis on livable interiors with a sophisticated outlook. The firm is highly focused on designing for their clients, not for themselves, but all their spaces reflect a focus on function as the foundation of a well-designed space. They practice the concept of fewer, better as they seek to reduce their imprint on the planet by selecting quality pieces that can evolve with style and functional changes over time. This space can handle all the functional needs of a home office while the combination of furnishings, finishes and accessories creates a relaxed, but sophisticated mix indicative of their design style.

What was the overall vision for your space?

Laundry is a chore so Red Chair Designs wanted to make the room a place you want to be and not dread to be. Maybe even a place the kids wouldn’t think to find you so you could have a few moments of peace. That’s why the colors and shapes help create a sense of calm visually.

What’s your favorite detail in your space?

Initially, Red Chair Designs’ favorite element was the Dirty/Clean on the floor of the room but after the war in Ukraine started the wooden hexagons on the wall/ceiling became their favorite because they were able to support a craftsman from the Ukraine by purchasing the pieces from him.

What, in your space, reflects your own personal design style?

Red Chair Designs likes to mix fun into whatever they do. Sometimes it’s simply in our relationships with our clients and vendors. This time we were able to have it physically show in the space. The Dirty/Clean words at the entry to the room invoke a sense of whimsy and fun. Red Chair Designs based it on the magnet that people sometimes keep on their dishwasher to show whether the dishes inside are clean or dirty. They thought it was fun to think of the clothes coming into the room dirty and leaving clean.

What was the overall vision for your space?

Six Walls enjoys walking into a space that makes you smile because of its unique character and personality. Their little powder bath does just that, makes you smile. Being of Scandinavian decent, it was enjoyable for them to personally explore the intersection of the urban environment creatively, especially within the confines of a small footprint. While the overall palette presents as a neutral; with black, white, grey, and wood tones, the punch of green brings the outdoor environment in.

What’s your favorite detail in your space?

It is so hard for Six Walls to choose just one detail that is a favorite in their little gem of a space. But, if they had to select just one, it would be the sink, because it really was the creative starting point for the full concept of the room. Each design choice connected back to the sink selection during the design development phase of the project.

What, in your space, reflects your own personal design style?

This space reflects Six Walls’ design style in that they love the play of the clean black & white pattern on the floor, with the circular mirror, the connection of that pattern to the globe style lighting, and how the wood wall feature links all those elements together in a thoughtful and grounding way.

What was the overall vision for your space?

Spatial Relations’ vision for the Living Room was to create a versatile space. The lounge/living area, adjacent to the kitchen, was designed to have child-friendly ease and informality, with elements of style for grown-up living. Using luxe clean contemporary, textural Interior/exterior fabrics, Spatial Relations created an elegant, warmth, and comfort with family lifestyle durability. The color palette is in natural earthy tones and a woven faded herringbone fabric pattern giving a fleecy feel to the furnishings. You can have an indoor picnic with a nap, or open the oversized glass doors to make the space into an indoor/outdoor living room for entertaining.

What’s your favorite detail in your space?

Spatial Relations loved working with this open plan as it allowed for the visual and functional exchange of interior and exterior connectivity to the outside deck, and the natural environment: a detail, signature to their design brand identity.

What, in your space, reflects your own personal design style?

Spatial Relations knows how to work a room! The team designs healthy, harmonious spaces that please and calm the senses and your inner being. In their interior designs, Spatial Relations always tries to achieve a balanced interior space. They are about the health of the space, beyond the pretty, the space needs to feel settled, tranquil, and balanced for the proper flow of energy and light.

What was the overall vision for your space?

For the children’s area, TAB Interior Designs wanted to make it a ‘functional and fun’ space for children to play, create, and feel like they could relax and just be a kid in. They made sure to incorporate non-specific colors and materials that the kids can grow with.

The guest bedroom that is set aside for the Au Pair was envisioned as a more calming, zen like space that at the end of the day, the Au Pair can return to a retreat-like feeling. This space allows for the individual to relax and prepare for tomorrow.

What’s your favorite detail in your space?

TAB Interior Designs’ favorite detail in the children’s space are the custom built-ins that are able to create storage and a place to display some of the kid’s favorite pieces. Whenever we can add built-in functionality in a fun way, it is generally something that will create special moments to be remembered.

For the Au Pair’s space, the team technically had two spaces in there, the bathroom and bedroom. In the bathroom TAB Interior Designs tried to have fun with the tile design while using a soothing green to make it more memorable and special for the individual. In the bedroom, their favorite detail is their custom headboard that they designed and made as a team just for this space. We incorporated a beautiful handmade wallcovering to add both texture and pattern that does not overwhelm the space, but makes a gorgeous statement.

What, in your space, reflects your own personal design style?

For any of they client projects, TAB Interior Designs generally do not try to interject their own personal style as they design for their clients desires and tastes. In this setting, “Urban Scandinavian” was the style requested by the client. In the children’s space though, they took that style and freshened it up by adding more color and patterns than generally incorporated to give it a more fun and lively feel. With that being said, they do personally love to mix lots of patterns, textures, and colors when it suits the clients’ wants.

For the Au Pair’s space, they really wanted to make it a relaxing and lovely space that makes this additional member of the family feel welcomed. They decided to incorporate soothing, spa-like green in the palette to give a little more color than generally found in a Scandinavian style, but paired it and neutralized it with touches of black to incorporate the Urban aspects. As a design team, TAB Interior Designs does love and appreciate both of these colors very much, but with that being said it is their priority to always design for our clients desires while putting our personal stylistic tastes to the side.

What was the overall vision for your space?

Howard Lorton’s overall vision was for a rich open and inviting entertainment space. They focused on keeping the space modern without it being cold and grey.

What’s your favorite detail in your space?

Howard Lorton’s favorite thing is the deep green sectional! Saturated colors are back especially the blues and greens. Green is definitely a color they are seeing more at High Point market and pairing it with golden rod and mustards adds to the modernity.

What, in your space, reflects your own personal design style?

The designers both love to mix metal finishes in a room. It has long been a favorite thing for them to do. With the look finally becoming popular again, it only adds to the excitement of being able to create the beautiful combinations in their space.

What was the overall vision for your space?

Howard Lorton’s overall vision of the space is for a family to relax and enjoy spending time together. The space can also be a great gathering place for company to relax and play games. After losing to a game of pool people can go out on the veranda and enjoy the sites of Denver.

What’s your favorite detail in your space?

Howard Lorton enjoyed the open airy feel of the space with all of the windows and being open to the veranda.

What, in your space, reflects your own personal design style?

Howard Lorton enjoyed working on a casual space that gets to be eclectic and whimsical, showing the easy-going side of design.
