Luncheon By Design 2022
Join Ojibwe author and Vogue fashion and style writer Christian Allaire for an inspiring presentation on Indigenous designers making waves in the fashion world. In conversation with Assistant Curator of Native Arts Dakota Hoska, Allaire will highlight the ways these artists incorporate Indigenous sensibilities into their creations while addressing priorities like sustainability, reverence, and appropriation.
With distinctive approaches rooted in the visual canons and conventional materials of their communities, these talented designers push forward with diverse interpretations of identity and style to produce stunning collections that are both deeply personal and broadly resonating.
