Home Sweet Home

    I've always loved the idea of having another place that I could call home. The perfect retreat for me would be somewhere warm and welcoming with an inviting log fire, where I can kick back and relax with my favorite drink in comfortable surroundings.  Sounds good to you too?

A FUSION OF FLAVORS

    I am no sushi connoisseur. I have however, had my fair share of nigiri, maki and sashimi. Enough so, to know the vast difference between “so- so” sushi and the really good stuff! Especially when living in a landlocked state, I’ve become a bit discriminating about where I dine for sushi. On the extreme side, I’ve actually known a few individuals who swear they’ll never dine on raw fish unless they’re doing so by the ocean from which it was caught!

Good Food for the Soul   

    There can’t be too many people who, on a Friday evening at the end of a busy week, find themselves heading to church in search of great food and a place to catch up with a friend.  However, when a girlfriend and I arrived at The Old Stone Church Restaurant in Castle Rock recently, we found the parking lot jammed—we clearly weren’t alone in our quest!

    All too often, very high standards can make it challenging to dine out with a truly unbiased mind. Let’s face it; we all have a favorite restaurant in which all others are measured against.   As some of my own favorite Italian venues were springing to mind recently, I was admittedly caught off guard by how my expectations were not only met but exceeded upon a visit to Denver’s celebrated Italian eatery, Panzano.
